Sun reporters stumbled upon the Donna Summer left high and dry on Alameda’s Beach Friday, Dec. 2. The sailboat was located opposite the George E. MacDonald Hall of Justice on Shore Line Drive. A routine call to Alameda Police Department revealed the police and Coast Guard were aware of the wayward craft and were intending to address the situation. Hopefully the sailboat’s owner recovered it before the tide came in again.
