All Hallows Eve and COVID-19

All Hallows Eve and COVID-19
As a parent I find myself at a bit of a loss this Halloween season. With three girls, aged 12, 10 and 2, Halloween is one of the bigger holidays on our yearly horizon. Decorating the house in anticipation of the evening, watching the neighbors do the same or heading out several times to the local Halloween store to buy more decorations, get costume ideas or simply let our youngest set to life the animatronic scare figures festooning their back corners have all been traditions I’m not emotionally prepared to relinquish. So, what to do when, in the midst of a pandemic, tradition is turned on it’s unwilling head? Adapt, that’s what. Find other ways of making the same fun and, who knows, maybe even start some new traditions in the process. Here are some ideas to help smooth out the rough spots social distancing and COVID-19 have inflicted upon us this spooky season that you and those in your social bubble can try out.
