Alamedan Files to Create New Political Party
California Gubernatorial candidate and Alameda resident Barack D. Obama Shaw announced to the Alameda Sun last week that Alameda is now the home of the brand new “Ring of Truth Political Party.”
The party’s official address listed with the Secretary of State is Ring of Truth Political Party, 2201 Shoreline Dr., P.O. Box #1213, Alameda CA 94501.
Obama Shaw is the chair and founder of the party that may qualify for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election. The party will be hosting voter drives and informing people of the party platform in the near future.
At the Secretary of State’s online voter registration site, registertovote.ca.gov, Alameda voters may change their party affiliation.
“The Ring of Truth is a Political Party party of hope,” said Obama Shaw in a statement to the Sun. “Many Americans walk around in a state of hopelessness and disconnected from the promise of our nation. They see America as good for nothing. The truth is we are good for many things. Countless miracles happen every day in America. All is not lost. We have a great country and we choose to focus on American greatness.”
Voters have many more than just the two big political parties to choose from at the ballot box.
In addition to Obama Shaw’s new party, the California Women’s Party based in Tumecula, and the Common Sense Party based in Coto de Caza, are attempting to qualify for the March 5, 2024, primary. New California-based political parties attempting to qualify for the Nov. 5, 2024, General Election include: the American Moderate Party based in Livermore, the American Solidarity Party based in Tustin, the Constitution Party of California based in Santa Clara, the Hogwash Party based in San Diego, No Labels California based in San Francisco, the Normal Party based in Ridgecrest and the One Party based in Pacific Grove.
