Alameda Sun increases circulation

In its ongoing mission to buck the trends and defy pundits who insist the newspaper industry is dying, the Alameda Sun increased its circulation last week to 24,000 copies delivered free in Alameda each Thursday.

The stated purpose of adding additional printed copies to the newspaper’s circulation was “to be sure the newest residents of Alameda Landing and other new neighborhoods can be a part of the conversation,” said Sun co-publisher Eric J. Kos. “The increase in circulation gives the Sun’s customers more ‘bang for the buck’ as advertising rates are remaining steady for the time being.”

In addition to the 24,000 print copies, is reaching 17,000 monthly users according to Google analytics.
