Football:

  • Alameda High School (AHS) defeated American High of Fremont, 42-7 (Nov. 3)
  • Encinal High School (EHS) defeated Mt. Eden High of Hayward, 17-14 (Nov. 4)

Flag Football:

  • AHS lost to Acalanes High of Lafayette, 19-0 (Nov. 4) in North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs — season over

Men’s Water Polo:

  • AHS defeated Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa, 12-11 (Nov. 4), in the first round of the NCS Div. II men’s tournament.

Women’s Water Polo:

  • AHS lost to Tamalpais High of Mill Valley, 15-8 (Nov. 4) in the first round of the NCS Div. II tournament — season over.
  • EHS defeated Newark Memorial, 16-10 (Nov. 1), and defeated Bishop O’Dowd of Oakland, 7-6 (Nov. 4) in the NCS Div. II tournament.

Women’s Golf:

  • AHS finished 14th out of 20 teams in the NCS Div. I tournament on Oct. 30.

Ultimate Frisbee

  • The Monarchs, Alameda Ultimate's co-ed high school team, lost to Oakland Tech, 13-3, in Winter League play (Nov. 5).

Cross Country:
Members of the AHS cross country team competed in the West Alameda County Conference Foothill League championships on Nov. 4 at Hayward High School (3 miles).

  • The women’s team finished sixth out of six teams.
  • The men’s team finished second out of six teams.

Members of the EHS cross country team competed in the West Alameda County Conference Shoreline League championships on Nov. 4 at Hayward High School (3 miles).

  • The women’s team finished second out of four teams.
  • The men’s team finished second out of five teams.

Members of the SJND cross country team competed in the Bay Counties East League championships on Nov. 2 at Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland (2.6 miles).

  • The men’s team finished fifth out of seven teams.
