Alameda Police Arrest Armed Robber

Alameda Police Department (APD) officers made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery on Nov. 9.

On Sept. 23, around 7:15 am, officers responded to the 2200 block of Otis Drive for the report of an armed robbery. The victim was robbed of their property at gunpoint while completing an ATM transaction. Despite the immediate response by the APD, the suspect was not initially located.

During the subsequent investigation, critical intelligence was gathered to help to identify a suspect. APD’s diligent efforts resulted in the authorization of a search and arrest warrant.

On Nov. 9, officers served the warrants, and one person was taken into custody in connection with the armed robbery. The suspect’s name was not disclosed. It is not known whether the victim received their belongings.
