Alameda Police Arrest Alleged Commercial Burglar

Alameda Police Department (APD) officers arrested a San Leandro man in connection to a commercial burglary that took place in April.

On April 10, APD began investigating a commercial burglary that occurred on the 1900 block of Stanford Street. The burglary resulted in thousands of dollars of property being stolen.

Nearby home security footage helped determine the involved parties likely “cased” the location prior to committing the burglary.

Over the past month, APD investigators worked tirelessly and identified a 52-year-old San Leandro resident as the responsible person. With the assistance of the San Leandro Police Department, the man was taken into custody and booked into the Alameda County Santa Rita Jail.

The suspect’s name is being withheld while the case remains an ongoing investigation. APD is continuing to work towards locating other involved parties.
