Alameda Education Foundation Thanks Summer Camp Interns

Under the tutelage of Frances Kahuanui-Johnson, the Alameda Education Foundation (AEF) summer camp interns were a crucial part of this years AEF summer camps. The interns gained experience in leadership by working with younger children.

Intern Emily spoke of her experience: “The kids made the camp super memorable! They’re all so cute and funny.”

Intern Fisher reflected that ‘I really enjoyed being a CIT at summer camp this year because I had fun helping the kids at the different camps. My favorite camp was 3 O’Clock Rock because I got to listen to the kids’ songs that they worked on all week at a concert at the end of the week.”

Lastly, intern Olivia said ‘I had a great experience volunteering at summer camp. I enjoyed working with the instructors and helping the kids have fun. I had fun helping them and seeing their creativity.’

AEF thanked the interns and Kahuanui-Johnson who helped make the summer camp fun and memorable for all participants.
