AFD Offers Safety Program
Thursday, April 10, 2014
The Alameda Fire Department’s (AFD) Safety Accessibility Program provides services to low-to-moderate income residents over 62 and to the disabled of any age.
The program offers installation of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replaces aging batteries. The program also has grab bars, handrails, raised toilets to install and provides nightlights, flashlights and grab sticks.
“Our program is eager to serve you and your family,” said AFD Chief Mike D’Orazi.
If you are an Alameda resident call Ruth Ann Crawford at 337-2133 to see if you or your loved one qualifies.
