Alamedans Logan Chen and Clara Verdickt took first place in the California Beach Volleyball Association Santa Cruz Tour Stop 1 girls’ 12-and-under U division Wednesday, June 15. Chen and Verdickt beat out seven other teams on their way to winning the tournament.
The Bay Area has gone basketball crazy with the return of the Golden State Warriors to the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. Alamedans have a chance to watch the beloved Warriors battle for the Larry O’Brien trophy on a 30-by-50-foot screen thanks to Alameda Theatre & Cineplex.
