The Alameda High School (AHS) football team stayed unbeaten (5-0) and got their league campaign off to a winning start as they used a total team effort to defeat the visiting San Lorenzo High School (2-3) 47-0, Friday, Sept. 29.
Nico Domagas played his first season in Alameda Little League in the T-Ball division this past Spring. He played with the Balter A’s. At the end of the season, his coach, Leo Balter, gave him the Wootten Award, which goes to one player on each team.

The Alameda High School (AHS) football team broke a six-game Island Bowl losing streak with a convincing 34-0 victory over Encinal High School (EHS) on Friday, Sept. 22.

Alameda High School (AHS) alum Bryan Woo pitched five scoreless innings in Seattle Mariners’ 5-0 victory over the struggling Oakland A’s on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Oakland Coliseum.
Alameda and Encinal high schools scored victories in their first sanctioned flag football games on Thursday, Sept. 14.

The Encinal High School football team (1-2) lost its second straight game, succumbing to a 51-0 defeat by Redwood High School (3-0) of Larkspur.
