Kiwanis to Award $100,000 in Scholarships
The Alameda Kiwanis Foundation has extended its scholarship application deadline to Monday, April 24. The previous deadline was April 9. The extension is to allow more graduating seniors from Alameda city high schools to apply for the Kiwanis Foundation scholarship.

Jets Win Second Straight Island Board
For the second straight year the Jets are the kings of the Island. Encinal High School's (EHS) chess club defeated Alameda High on March 12 in the second annual "Island Board." The Jets won 21 out of 36 matches during the event held at Encinal High School.
