Alameda resident, educator and playwright, Dr. Cindy Acker, has recreated her revolutionary play, Words That Made the Difference: Brown vs. the Board of Education for the zoom era. The performance will stream internationally on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m.
On Thursday, Dec. 17, Encinal Jr. Sr. High School’s orchestra held its annual Winter Concert. The concert was held over Zoom with student musicians, parents, teachers and friends in attendance. Over 120 attendees were present for the hour-long event.

The Alameda Education Foundation brings together artists Salma Arastu, Nia Jourdan (Virginia Jourdan), Irenita Xirenita (Irene Juárez O’Connell) and Talavera-Ballon in a Rhythmix Virtual K Gallery exhibit honoring the diversity of artists in the Bay Area.
