Alameda resident Donna Stoering began playing concerts when she was five years old and teaching professionally when she was just 10. She grew up in the Bay Area, but after receiving a Marshall Scholarship, Stoering has lived most of her adult life in Europe.
Student Art, Poetry Contest Ends Friday
The deadline for submissions to the Fourth of July Parade art and poetry contest is tomorrow. This year’s parade marks the 40th anniversary of the annual event, and organizers want to celebrate by involving kids in the festivities.
