Eleven talented wildlife photographers will present their works in the Stafford Meeting Rooms at the Main Library, 1550 Oak St., starting this Sunday, Feb. 28. Their works include vivid photographs of wildlife, all taken in Alameda.

Senior Public Affairs Specialist with the San Francisco District Food and Drug Administration Janet McDonald will speak to the Alameda Rotary Club Tuesday, Feb. 16, at noon. McDonald will discuss the agency’s recent enforcement actions. Lunch included. Tickets are $20 at the door.

Caltrans announced that it will close the Posey Tube for inspection and maintenance from 10 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, to 5 a.m., the following morning. The tube, built in 1928, carries traffic from 
Alameda into Oakland.
