Alamedans celebrate the 168th anniversary of the California Gold Rush
On Saturday, Jan. 23, Jesse and Jessie Lee James joyfully celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary at Bayport Community Center. The James family has lived in Alameda for more than 65 years and raised their seven children and cared for 10 grandchildren here.
