Rhythmix tips its hat

Editor:
Rhythmix Cultural Works recently presented its “Pour Your heART Out” Benefit for the Arts to salute women in the food and beverage industries and raise funds for its free youth arts programming. Rhythmix developed its Performance Art & Learning program (PAL), as an assembly-based youth arts education program to foster awareness of world cultures and empower underserved youth through exposure to educational music and dance performances.

The PAL program is provided at no cost to participating schools from the Alameda and Oakland Unified School Districts and provides multicultural experiences not offered elsewhere in the community. The outpouring of community support helped Rhythmix reach its fundraising goal to provide free cultural arts programs to more than 2,500 Alameda and Oakland public school students in the coming year.

Sincere thanks to our generous sponsors: Christopher and Trudi Seiwald, OMM, Inc., Kate McCaffrey of Pacific Union, Alameda Landing-Catellus, Star Harbor-Tim Lewis Communities, Alameda Municipal Power, Donna Andrews & Mort Johnson of Morgan Stanley, First Community Bank, Property Investment Services, Semifreddi’s and Yankwich & Associates.

Our hats are off to Dragonfly Property Services, Eyewise Optometry, AEC Living, Alameda Marina, Alameda Marketplace, Alameda Natural Grocery, Bay Ship & Yacht, Fireside Lounge, Poppy Bank, Yankwich & Associates, Bridge Bank, Concreteworks, Alameda Magazine, Alameda Sun and the East Bay Express.
