Rhythmix says ‘thanks’

Editor:

On behalf of Rhythmix Cultural Works (RCW) I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who made it’s 10th anniversary gala celebration such a smashing success.  The outpouring of community support helped RCW reach its fundraising goal to provide free cultural arts programs to more than 2,000 Alameda and Oakland Unified School District students in the coming year.

Big thanks go out to all of our performers, artists, volunteers, sponsors, in-kind donors, board, staff and community advisory board members for their support and generosity including: Alameda Landing and Catellus, OMM, Inc., Kate McCaffrey of Pacific Union and Christie’s, and Star Harbor and Tim Lewis Communities.

We truly appreciate the help we received from: Alameda Municipal Power, Concreteworks, Donna Andrews and Mort Johnson of Morgan Stanley, First Community Bank, Property Investment Services, Semifreddi’s, Yankwich & Associates, Bay Ship & Yacht, Dragonfly Property Services, Eyewise Optometry, Fireside Lounge, Bank of Marin, Sally Han of Alain Pinel, and our media sponsors: Alameda Magazine, Alameda Sun, Alameda Journal, and Oakland Magazine.

Our wonderful wine, beer and spirits tastings came courtesy of Artesa Winery, Ceja Vineyards, Grgich Hills Estate, Handley Cellars, Prospect 772, R&B Cellars, Rock Wall Wine Company, Hangar 1, Spirit Works Distillery, 21st Amendment Brewery and Drake’s Brewery.

The delicious treats everyone enjoyed came courtesy of local favorites: Café Jolie, Céra Una Volta, Crispian Bakery, Greens & Grains, Julie’s Coffee & Tea Garden, Patatas, Semifreddi’s, Trabocco, Side Street Pho and Agrodolce.

We also received generous support to our silent auction from Alameda Bicycle, Alameda Meals on Wheels, Alameda, Theatre, Angela’s Kitchen, Arizmendi, Back to Life Wellness Center, Bakesale Betty, Barbie Wong, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Books, Inc.; Cal Shakes, Cardel Catering and Connoisseurs’ Guide to California Wine.

Our incredible donors also included: The Crucible Culinary Institute of America Greystone, Doña Tomas, Donsuemor, East End, Faction Brewing, Fat Lady, Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco De Young, Grand Lake Theatre, Greer Family Mortuary & Cremation Services, Home of Chicken and Waffles, John Chalik and Kelly Lux State Farm.
We couldn’t have done without Marsh Theatre or Mosley’s Café, Nicole Kidd, Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary, Pacific Pinball Museum, Picante, Priority Wine Pass, the San Francisco Symphony, Speisekammer, The UC Theatre, Trader Joe’s, Vichy Springs Resort and Yoshi’s.
