An amazing day

The Alameda Naval Air Museum (ANAM) would like to thank the donors and volunteers for a wonderful day, April 1, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Doolittle Raiders departure from Alameda.

These include Doolittle Raider relative Jim Bowers, Marshall Davis, history walk and event founder, and Steve Kaularich, President of Commemorative Air Force. ANAM would like to especially thank the US Fish & Wildlife Service, the Veterans Administration (VA) and the City of Alameda for permission to stage the B-25 flyover.

Thanks are also due Susan Euing from the Fish & Wildlife Service for her presentation on the endangered least tern and the VA’s John Majerle for his update on the plans for the VA hospital and columbarium. ANAM would also like to thank Makani Power for allowing filming from their offices in the former air-control tower.
