Bay Farm School PTA thanks community

Editor:
On behalf of Bay Farm School PTA, we would like to thank the parents, teachers, volunteers, school staff and community members who have supported Bay Farm School and enabled us to help provide a vibrant K-8 school environment, and rigorous education for all our students.
Because of your support this year, Bay Farm students enjoyed in a bigger-than-ever Coast Guard Day; participated in the ever-successful book fair; and enjoyed a myriad of field trips from Yosemite to Coloma. Our eighth-graders are preparing to go to Washington, D.C. and New York to study government and history, even as they finished writing novels for National Novel Writing Month. Our middle-schoolers are working on their second year of participation in the National History Day contest.
Because of your support, we have a new greenhouse for our Outdoor Learning Center. We’ve been fortunate enough to host fun events for our families and appreciation events for our teachers and staff. In the spring, we will host the Kangaroo Math Competition and our science fair. All this and more comes from a school community at Bay Farm that values education and opportunity for our children.
It has been an amazing start to our second year as a full K-8 school. Because of you, we continue to be one of the highest-performing public schools in the Bay Area while also providing a small-school, nurturing environment. We’re looking forward to seeing what will be accomplished in the second half of this school year!
