Junior Golf Results

The Alameda Junior Golf Club (AJGC) held a tournament event last Wednesday, July 24, at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex.

Thomas Lee shot a 76 to win the male 16- to 17-year-old division. Glenn VanWinkle shot a 77 for second place, while Tyler McDaniel shot an 80. Jason Brown shot also shot a 76 to win the male 14- to 15-year-old division. Brandon Mills shot an 82 for second place, just ahead of third-place finisher Carl Penney who scored an 83. Joseph Katanski shot an 83 to win the 12- to 13-year-old competition. Adrian Davis (84) and Jacob Katanski (86) finished close behind.

Austin Walker (40) won the 10- to 11-year-old division, while Alpiu Esguerra (50) won the seven- to nine-year-old division. Both were played on the ninehole Mif Albright Course.

Kenness Chueng shot a 73 to win the female 15- to 17-yearold bracket. Melissa Yao was the runner up. She scored a 74. Elizabeth Scholtes shot an 87 in the 12- to 14-year-old bracket. Allyson Esguerra shot a 102 for second place. Alexis Esguerra shot a 48 in the nine-hole competition.

Mills, Walker and Alpui Esguerra each won putting competitions on the day.
