|Free Feline Adoptions this Weekend!|

The Alameda Animal Shelter is overflowing with healthy cats and kittens waiting for their forever homes. To help make space for the strays that come in every day, the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) is holding a free feline adoption weekend this Saturday and Sunday at 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda from 11am 5pm both days.
All the cats and kittens at the shelter have been health checked, received vaccinations, been microchipped and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They range in age from two months to twelve years old, and their personalities vary from couch potato to constantly entertaining. There is surely one (or more) that will be a great companion for you.
FAAS Executive Director, Mim Carlson, explains, We have over 50 available healthy cats and kittens right now we are bursting at the seams. Free adoptions allow us to find all these wonderful felines their new forever homes and to empty our shelter to make room for others. This is a win-win weekend for everyone!
FAAS took over management of the Alameda Animal Shelter on January 1, 2012. The mission is to shelter and care for homeless animals, find them new homes, and to prevent animal cruelty through community and education programs.
