Harbor Bay Realty is the management brokerage company for the Doric Group of Companies, Harbor Bay's master developer. Other companies in the group include the Harbor Bay Club, a full-service tennis and fitness facility; Harbor Bay Maritime, a PUC-regulated ferry service company; Harbor Bay RV and Self Storage and Doric Construction, the general contracting company. Harbor Bay's modern-day history stretches back to 1977, when Harbor Bay Isle Associates signed an agreement with the city of Alameda that allowed them to build 3,200 homes on Bay Farm Island, once known as "Asparagus Island" for the crop that was grown there. The associates built a total of 2,973 homes in five stages. |
