Alameda bicyclists too timid to ride across the Park Street Bridge on their own can get some expert help 9 a.m., Saturday, March 14. Team Alameda, the Island City's riding club, will be taking a bicycle ride across the bridge to Jack London Square.

Meet at the Kaiser Steps, 2417 Central Ave. near Park Street. Here's your chance to learn a safe and easy route from Alameda to the Jack London Square Farmers' Market.

Remember to wear a helmet and bring water and sun block, plus bring baskets and bags for shopping.
