The business owner willing to pay to get the roof replaced at interest free?? And the city did not grab the opportunity?? Why am I not surprised?? Do not think for a second that this city gov't is pro businesses at the point. Any landlord would have taken that deal? It's like a renter of a house saying, I'll pay to fix the plumbing issue if you can't, but just pay me over time (may be in in a reduced rent) interest free. Sounded like a deal. Only a city gov't or property management in it only for their own interest would let such a deal pass by. Utter embarrassment! Support the businesses who creat the jobs, not the beaucrats who get in the way.

Now that the city will have full control, will it impose city regulations to their fullest extent driving away current and new businesses at the Point? I just cannot see this city government making a success for small businesses. Only reason businesses thrive at the Point is because the city for the most part has been limited and hands-off. It may be time to start looking somewhere else for space for those Point businesses.
